MEN’S ADIDAS STAN SMITH: ICONS FOR YOU

Fresh since the ’60s. It’s an icon. It’s a record breaker. It’s one of adidas’ top-selling trainers of all time, and it’s not the adidas Superstar. It’s the men’s adidas Stan Smith and Foot Locker has it in a variety of styles for you to choose from.

YOUR SELECTION OF MEN’S ADIDAS STAN SMITH SHOES

The classic white leather upper and thick rubber outsole have stood the test of time for more than 50 years and that won’t change anytime soon. If you’re looking for the classic men’s adidas Stan Smith with the clean white upper and green trim, you’re in the right place. There’s also the white upper with black trim, as well as various special-edition trims from different collaborations. Then, there’s the tonal black model – a smart casual trainer that you can wear just as easily in the club as to a job interview. The men’s adidas Stan Smith is a gift that keeps on giving and a style that seems to get fresher by the day. Get on it.

THE BIRTH OF STAN SMITH MEN’S TRAINERS

The men’s adidas Stan Smith has transitioned from a high-tech tennis shoe to an essential casual trainer, and the aesthetics have hardly changed. The kicks were born way back in 1963 when Horst Dassler, the son of adidas’ founder, decided that tennis needed a sturdy, streamlined, performance-focused leather trainer to rival the canvas styles it had known before that. Originally the shoe was named after French tennis star Robert Haillet, and for a long time had his face and signature on the side, but it was rebranded as the Stan Smith in 1978. It was the first shoe to really make the jump from sport to street and sales were rocketing – so much so that the Stan Smith was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records in 1988 for numbers of pairs sold. Since then, it has gone from strength to strength, appearing in the bars of rappers like Jay Z, on covers of Vogue magazine, and in the casual ensembles of millions around the world. The design has been adjusted over the years, but the basic style remains the same. Versatile, slick, forever fresh.

MEN’S ADIDAS STAN SMITH TRAINERS TO THE FUTURE

The latest men’s adidas Stan Smith shoes stay true to the originals but also stay true to adidas’ environmental commitment, which is impacting the design approach to many other adidas shoes for men. These new Stan Smiths are made with Primegreen, a special mix of high-performance recycled materials. The uppers are 50% recycled and 100% vegan – animal-derived materials are out the window. Even the classic grippy rubber outsole is greener, now made of rubber waste. The quality is the same, the look is the same, it’s just the carbon footprint that isn’t
