The classic skater brand started way back in 1966 California when it was manufactured and sold directly to the public from the very same site. Vans shoes started making a name for themselves among the South California skate scene in the early ‘70s, loved for their rugged make-up and sticky soles. Shortly after, the classic Old Skool came out, with its now famous Sidestrip and built-in leather panels for superior durability. Come the ‘80s and early ‘90s, the classic vans trainers hit big with metal and punk fans, who’d caught the buzz from the growing skate scene.
