Nike Blazer Mid 77 SE review by Harry

Nike Blazer Mid '77 SE

Overall experience

Blazers are one of the OGs of basketball, their timeless retro vibe means they will never go out of fashion and you can never have too many of them. I wear them as a smarter casual look as they go so nicely with shirts and smart trousers, but they also look so good with shorts, jeans and tracksuits. Nike have modernized this pair with the shadowy look of the double swoosh, as well as the eccentric pattern on the heel. This gives the shoe a subtle and tasteful little update.

A good choice if you also like

A classic retro rubber sole like a Converse or Jordan 1 - nothing fancy and quite flat. Also, unusually for a high top it is very sleek and slender which is flattering on every foot (like a High-Top Converse or a Vans Sk8 Hi).

Recommended for

Anyone who likes a high(er), but surprisingly light shoe. The leather is thin which makes it perfect for summer, however they are well insulated so also great for colder weather too.

Styling tips:

Blazers are such a versatile shoe that can be worn anytime and anywhere. I would rock this with some Nike pants like the cargo cuffed pants (the cuffed bottom helps show off the shoe more) as well as a nice plain Nike crewneck such as the Club crew, which comes in a variety of colours.
