This is adidas's journey to end plastic waste

ADIDAS
For over 20 years Adidas has been an industry leader in sustainability. After introducing a single shoe at the United Nations in 2015, the long-term eco-innovation partnership with Parley For The Oceans has led to 24 million Parley Ocean Plastic products being produced in 2020. Through their partnership, Adidas and Parley For The Ocean help save our oceans from plastic pollution.
Furthermore, Adidas believes that ‘through sport, we have the power to change lives’. In 2017, Adidas and Parley jointly launched Run For The Oceans, a global movement to raise awareness of marine plastic pollution and inspire action. The aim is to help End Plastic Waste by uniting people all over the world to take part. So far over 3 million people have laced up and taken a stand for the oceans.

Adidas is dedicated to change their methods to reach their first major milestone by shifting to recycled polyester in 2024 to End Plastic Waste. Adidas is doing so by launching innovative, high-performance recycled materials like PRIMEBLUE and PRIMEGREEN, thus eliminating the use of virgin materials.
